CASAMIA HELP TREETOPS HOSPICE RAISE OVER £18,000

We were extremely proud and happy to take part in this year’s ‘Treecycling’ fundraising event – run and organised by Treetops Hospice. Danielle and George, two of our directors, took part by collecting Christmas trees within the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire area from households who had donated.

Danielle was our ‘man in a van’ and George ran up and down the one-way streets bundling Christmas trees into the back.

Over 50 volunteers from a number of local businesses helped collect over 1,000 trees. Raising a total in excess of £18,000!

George, reporting on the volunteering, said “Treetops is a charity really close to mine and Danielle’s hearts and lives. On two separate occasions they have helped care for Danielle’s grandmother and my mum during their final months, weeks, and days. They offer a truly invaluable service to individuals and their families. Something that we will be eternally touched, grateful and in debt to them for. Running around with a load of Christmas trees is the least we could do to help them raise money this winter. Not all that long ago, in 2022 we asked our wedding guests to donate to the charity (instead of buying us wedding) which raised just shy of £6,000. We look forward to doing more fundraising events with the rest of the Casamia team and helping Treetops survive and thrive!”
